After the Seattle to Portland bike ride, a cyclist decides to try bike commuting
The road from Centralia south was lovely farmland. I think this was my favorite part of the ride.
I heard someone else saying the same thing. I spent the night in Napavine, so section was the end of day 1 for me, and I don't think I properly appreciated the scenery because I was worried about finding the school where we were staying, getting our bags, and setting up the tent. There were some lovely views of Mt. Saint Helens, though (I think that's the mountain we saw).
It was Mt. St. Helens. She was low and grey/brown ..... irregular in her shape. Poor thing!! She used to be much more shapely ... and snow capped .... actually the most symmetrical of the 5 peaks. Not any more. But I love to see her all the same.
